Come and visit our mining claim 45 minutes NW of Mt Surprise on our fossicking tour departing the shop at 8:00am daily (April-September), or by prior arrangement.

No licences or permits are required and all equipment is provided, so head off in our vehicle, or tagalong in your vehicle if you prefer, for a great half-day of fun for the whole family.

Once out at the fossicking site we'll show you what to do and how to do it and then it's down to business.... and you get to keep what you find!

Due to the nature of the land most of our fossicking is done dry. Whether it is Agate, Topaz or Peridot you are fossicking for there is very little in the way of clays, with most areas being granites of one sort or another. This makes fossicking a dusty past-time rather than a muddy one, so be prepared to come home a bit dirtier than you left.

'Smoko' is provided mid-morning and we return at approximately 1pm.
