Our shop is in the town of Mt Surprise on the main road next to the State School. Plenty of parking area is available. The award winning garden is landscaped with native shrubs and trees making it a haven for birds and wildlife generally.

Feel free to browse through the shop where there are some fine examples of O'Brien's Creek gemstones, and a large range of jewellery, gems and gift items available for purchase.

Most afternoons Pete is faceting gems and is only too happy to explain how it is done. Find out how a sparkling gem is made. A faceting service is available if you want your gem stones appraised and made into sparkling gems.

Working lapidary equipment is on display. See what they do. Check out the old forge that sharpens the picks, or sieve a bucket ‘o’ wash - you never know what you might find.

For those wanting to fossick independently we have mudmaps and local fossicking information, fossicking equipment for hire or sale, and we have tuition available. We also issue Fossickers Permits.

The licenced café is a great place to relax and unwind.Enjoy home-made snacks, meals and REAL coffee.
